Students and faculty from the Faculty of Economics at the National University of San Estanislao participated in an educational event at the Museum of Economics, where they attended a talk on the structure and functions of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), given by the Director of Macrofiscal Policy, Rolando Sapriza.

During the director's presentation, he provided an overview of the institutional framework of the MEF, its mission, its internal structure, and, in particular, the work carried out by the Vice Ministry of Economy and Planning (VEP). "We gave them an overview of the role of the Ministry of Economy, especially the VEP, its objectives, and the tasks we carry out daily to contribute to the country's economic development," he noted.

After the talk, the students toured the facilities of the Museum of Economics, where they were able to learn about the history of Paraguay's economic development, from its beginnings to the challenges and prospects for the future. The museum exhibit offers an interactive and educational approach to the country's economic growth and its main productive sectors.

"The Museum acts as a catalyst for the role of the MEF and represents an academic attraction for students, especially those from the interior of the country. It is a different way of teaching and learning about the national economy," said director Rolando Sapriza.

Professor Óscar Daniel Ruiz emphasized that this activity is part of a classroom project related to the completion of key academic assignments. “We came from San Estanislao with the goal of learning about the functions of the MEF from the inside. This experience allows students to contextualize the functioning of a fundamental public institution such as the one that manages the country's resources,” he stated.

He also expressed his gratitude for the institution's willingness to welcome students from the interior of the country. “This experience is very enriching for academic training, as it allows theoretical knowledge to be combined with practical experiences. We hope more students can experience this type of event,” he said.

The students, for their part, praised the Museum as a dynamic and engaging space, highlighting that it allowed them to better understand Paraguay's economic evolution and visualize its future prospects.

The Museum of Economics, declared a place of cultural interest, is open Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interested educational institutions can schedule visits to access this valuable educational opportunity.
